The nice thing about furniture accents is that they can do a lot for your décor without draining your budget. Consider, for example, the wooden chair, a useful piece of furniture that can now double as an accent piece. Find it at a flea market, tag sale, unfinished furniture store or – for the ultimate bargain – on a curb on pickup day. You can find not only memorable bargains, but also a variety of styles that will make for decorating that’s fun and easy. And if it’s color you want, go with Minwax® Water-Based Wood Stain, available in 74 decorator colors and wood tones. You can complement colors already in place and introduce new ones that’ll give any room an easy style boost.
Here are some of the many ways that chairs can take on engaging, unexpected style with Minwax® Water-Based Wood Stain.

All the chairs were treated with Minwax® Water-Based Pre-Stain Conditioner prior to staining, and then topcoated with Minwax® Polycrylic® Protective Finish in a semi-gloss sheen after staining.
Many parts of a chair can be stained with a small brush, but tight corners, sharp angles, molded surfaces and different nooks and crannies might need other applicators. A cotton-tipped swab can be very effective, and so can a small piece of cloth, a sponge or even a toothbrush.
