Reparing Pet Scratches in Furniture

Learn how to cover and repair pet scratches in your furniture in this installment of Quick Tips from Minwax®. Wood finishing expert Bruce Johnson shares some ways to conceal and fix scratches from your dog or cat.

For smaller pet scratches use Minwax® Wood Finish Stain Markers, they contain real Wood Finish stain and come in a variety of colors. Apply directly to the scratched wood and wipe off the excess stain with a rag. Stain Markers easily touch-up pet scratches on doors, floors, cabinets, chairs, molding, and other wood surfaces. For deeper scratches, try Minwax® Blend-Fil® Pencils. They come in a variety of wood-tone colors, and a white pencil that is ideal to use on painted surfaces. Work the pencil into the damaged area then use a rag to wipe off the excess. Look out for more quick tips from Minwax.
