Choosing a Protective Wood Finish from Minwax®
Choosing a Protective Wood Finish
Uploaded
A clear protective finish will enhance both the look and lifetime of your wood. Minwax® has a variety of wood protective finishes to choose from to fit your project, and this video will help you decide which finish is best for you. Most finishes come in three wood sheens: satin, semi-gloss, or gloss wood sheen. If you want a contemporary gloss look, go with a gloss wood sheen. A satin wood sheen gives wood a hand-rubbed antiqued look. Semi-gloss is right in the middle of gloss and satin wood sheens. Each type will last as long as the other. It is always a good idea to test your wood finish before applying. If you don't add a finish to your wood, it will likely crack and dry out.
